Travis Kelce’s Ex Kayla Nicole Apologizes For Past Tweets

She has accepted her faults and takes steps to make amends moving forward. The social media personality sends a heartfelt apology to those whose feelings she has wounded with her words and views. In the bid to prove her growth and change, she publicly makes a clear-cut decision.

This comes right after Travis Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, was dragged for throwing shade at his current partner, Taylor Swift, with her Halloween costume.

Nicole sent a lengthy message to fans and followers, owning up to her faults via her online presence. She apologizes for the hurtful tweets she made in previous years and admits they were wrong.

She acknowledged that online hate is cruel and harmful and does not want to contribute to the spread of the vice any further. Also, she admitted that her acts at the time were “ignorant, hurtful, and completely wrong.”

Nicole continued, sharing that she has grown into a better woman since then and would neither share the same views she previously had nor use such words. To make amends, Nicole states that she takes full responsibility for her actions and has deleted the tweets. She took a step further and deleted her X account as well.

She ended her statement by apologizing to everyone she had hurt and declared that her values are now rooted in love, empathy, and respect for others. Although she cannot change the past, she promises to strive to show that she is a changed woman indeed through her actions.

Kayla’s controversial tweets were mainly homophobic and racist. They resurfaced after folks interpreted her Halloween costume as a shot at Kelce and his current partner, Taylor Swift.

When Nicole shared a clip of herself in her costume on Instagram, her close to one million followers brought the heat.

The media personality dressed as Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton and recreated a choreography from one of her most iconic music videos. She lip-synced some of the lyrics of the song that played in the background, particularly the chorus.

Mouthing “Did you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend? / I’m not thinking ’bout him/ But you married him / Did you know I made him leave? / Do you know he begged to stay with me? / He wasn’t man enough for me.”

Fans praised Nicole in the comments, with thoughts that she was clapping back at Swift for the lyrics in her newest single, “Opalite.” 

Despite the blazing online reaction to Nicole winning the feud that Swift allegedly started, the YouTuber insisted that her intentions were pure. She maintained that she wasn’t thinking of Swift or Kelce when she came up with the idea for her Halloween costume.

The Blast reported that she said in an episode of her “Pre-Game” podcast that she is not in the business of tearing other women down. Thus, maintains her stance on the media-projected narrative.

She added that dressing as Braxton was a personal decision that stemmed from some childhood memories. She revealed that since her younger days, she had been a Braxton fan and was influenced by a friend named Taylor.

Following the release of Swift’s new project, fans connected the dots, stating that the artist threw shade at her partner’s ex and their failed relationship. Nicole then talked about the negative Instagram trolls she receives and expressed that she has learned not to take them to heart.

As reported by The Blast, the YouTuber has previously spoken about the online pressure she faces in an interview. She disclosed that owning a public platform comes with its negative perks, and sometimes they affect her in real time.

Besides her experiences with hate from her online platform, she also had some struggles with public dating while she was in a relationship with Kelce. This made her decide to keep things on the low in her relationships going forward.

Nicole previously expressed that she harbors no ill feelings towards Kelce and Swift following their engagement. She sees the fact that he has moved on as a compliment.

On an episode of her show, she spoke to a caller to whom she admitted that most women find it hard to accept that their exes may move on to a hotter woman. But she realized that it is worse if the said ex levels down with their new partner instead of up.
