At the 98th Academy Awards, fans saw a lot of hopeful nominees go home with awards. Of course, this means that some were less than victorious at the event. Since the show finished, musician Travis Scott shared a post touching on one result. However, some fans think he might have had Timothée Chalamet in mind with the post.
Travis Scott Shared A Few Posts About The Oscars On His Instagram Stories
Scott is a rapper and record producer. In his personal life, he is known for his relationship with media personality and Kardashians star Kylie Jenner.
The two were first seen together at Coachella in 2017. They share two children together, born in 2018 and 2022. However, the two broke up in 2023.
Following this, Kylie has since been tied to actor Timothée Chalamet. Recently, Scott shared a post on social media, in which he might have had the French American actor in mind. Notably, this post came out after the 2026 Oscars.
In a recent social media post, Scott paid tribute to Michael B. Jordan after winning the Best Actor award for his work in Sinners. Chalamet had also been a nominee for the award thanks to his performance in Marty Supreme.
At the event in Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, Jordan could be seen wiping away tears as he took the stage to accept the award. During the emotional moment, he was given his Oscar by last year’s winner, Adrien Brody.
Shortly after the event, Scott posted a photo of Jordan’s emotional acceptance moment in an Instagram Story. While the post didn’t feature any text, some fans speculated that the post was meant to poke fun at Chalamet’s loss.
Some Fans Believe That Scott Has Poked Fun At Chalamet Before
This wouldn’t be the first time fans suspected that there was some bad blood between Scott and Chalamet. In his track Meltdown, for example, some fans believed Scott poked fun at Chalamet’s role in the film, Wonka, with the line, “Got the Willy Wonka factory,” before saying, “Find another flame hot as me.”
That said, a few hours later, Scott also shared an image of Sinners‘ Ryan Coogler holding his own Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Thanks to this, some fans believe that Scott simply wanted to pay tribute to the movie.

However, as noted by Radar Online, a few commenters still speculated that the post was meant as a dig towards Chalamet. Some even tried to come to Chalamet’s defense. A few comments included:
- “Travis Scott is a professional hater. I love it.”
- “Timothee Chalamet looks miserable and Travis Scott was shading him and is there too… Help this man.”
- “Okay, please, this is so iconic. Because tell me when was the last time Travis Scott [cared] about the Oscars?”
- “Bro needs to move on, hating on the future stepdad of your kids is petty,”
- “He’s so happy Timmy did not win.”
