Tottenham head coach Igor Tudor has called on his players to fight as the club bids to end their torrid run of form.
The Lilywhites sit just one point above the relegation zone, with a tough trip to Liverpool on the cards this weekend.
By the time they play, Spurs could find themselves in the bottom three, should West Ham and Nottingham Forest pick up positive results.
The club are winless in 2026, and have lost six games in a row across all competitions for the first time in their history.
Tudor is also enjoying the worst start for a Tottenham manager, picking up zero wins from his four games in charge so far.
The dire form has plunged the Premier League side into chaos, with reports suggesting the board are considering replacing Tudor already.
A loss at Anfield will do the former Marseille boss no favours, but he still has faith in those available that they can dig themselves out of the situation.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Tudor said: “Tough. For sure. Not just because of the last game but because of the period. Not easy situation, not easy moment. Big challenge to change things. Like everything in life, you can choose how to see the situation.
“You can cry or you can fight. You can be the victim or you can say I can change something and this is the message I want to start with and what I communicate with the players.
“Everyone speaks and everyone has opinions. The bottle is always half empty or half full. Here, there is nothing full, there are a lot of empty things but difficult moments don’t last.
“I believe the players will take this as a challenge, as an opportunity, to stand up with the courage to change things after this period.”
More injury woes
Tottenham have struggled with injury issues all season. James Maddison ruptured his ACL in pre-season, while Dejan Kulusevski has been missing for the best part of a year with a knee problem.
On top of that, the likes of Mohamed Kudus and Destiny Udogie have been long-term absentees in the capital.
That misery was compounded even further on Friday afternoon, with Tudor revealing the club will be missing 12 players for the trip to Merseyside following a few more knocks from the 5-2 loss at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
He added: “No, no. They [Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha] are out. Micky [van de Ven] is also out. [Yves] Bissouma is out with a muscle [injury]. Conor [Gallagher] has some fever, but probably will be in.
“We have a lot of problems to make first eleven. This is how it is at this club. It happens all the time. We start to build something and then something happens like a red card in the last game or three or four injuries.
“It is very rare, I have never had this situation in my career where you have two players missing every game. It is very unusual but you have to accept this and try and change the things we can change. These things we cannot.”

Romero and Palhinha had a clash of heads in Madrid during midweek, meaning the club will once again be without their captain during these tough times.
Liverpool have not been in the best form of their lives, but are heavy favourites to collect all three points on Sunday.
