The UK trailer for filmmaker Max Walker-Silverman‘s upcoming drama Rebuilding, starring Josh O’Connor, Meghann Fahy and Amy Madigan, has just been released by Picturehouse Entertainment . The film has been exclusively explained as “a heartfelt portrait of resilience and human connection in the wake of loss.”
A Walker-Silverman script, the film focuses on a “divorced father and ranch owner Dusty,” who “must plant new roots” following a fire. “Now living in a close-knit trailer community, he quietly reassembles his life, reconnecting with his estranged young daughter and ex-wife.”
From filmmaker Max Walker-Silverman and also starring Academy Award nominee Amy Madigan, Rebuilding is a heartfelt portrait of resilience and human connection in the wake of loss.
Walker-Silverman’s additional directing credits include 2022’s A Love Song, starring Dale Dickey and Wes Studi, which earned two nominations at the 38th Independent Spirit Awards. The filmmaker has also recently overseen the Sundance premiere of his junior film, 2026’s Hot Water, which stars Lubna Azabal, Daniel Zolghadri, and Dickey.
O’Connor has received praise for his roles in the Franic Lee drama God’s Own Country, the Netflix history drama The Crown and Luca Guadagnino’s whirlwind sports-romance-drama Challengers and last year’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Fahy is recognised for her work on Freeform’s The Bold Type and The White Lotus.
Madigan is up for Best Supporting Actress at the 98th Academy Awards for her role as the villainous Gladys in Zack Cregger’s horror Weapons.
