Elisabeth Hasselbeck is set to make a return to television. Before this time, however, she’s already weighing in on some issues. Recently, the talk show alum had a few choice words for college hazing. This was also in response to a viral moment and recent coverage of the story.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck Asks Why People Are ‘Okay’ With Hazing
For many, Hasselbeck rose to prominence in 2001 after appearing on the second season of Survivor. Ultimately, she finished the season in fourth place. The following year, she married NFL player Tim Hasselbeck.
From 2003 to 2013, Hasselbeck joined The View as a co-host. Following this, she was a co-host on Fox & Friends from 2013 to 2015.
However, Hasselbeck has also weighed in on “hot topic” issues on social media as well as on television. Recently, she discussed the issue of college hazing during an Instagram Story.
The TV personality included an image of Inside Edition host Eva Pilgrim’s report on hazing across American college campuses. During the share, Hasselbeck also wrote, “Y’all. Why are we okay with hazing as a society? Why are we torturing our youth? To belong? For friends?”
This Comes As Hasselbeck Had Big News To Share With Fans
Hasselbeck worried that this would take some young people in a dark direction, and not just the immediate victims of hazing. As she continued, she noted, “We are to raise leaders, not terrorists.”
The recent Inside Edition story showcased dozens of frat pledges that were found shirtless and blindfolded in a dark basement. While the alleged incident took place in 2024, a video of the incident was only recently released.

The report outlined a lawyer for a fraternity member responding to dropped charges against a student accused of being involved with a hazing ritual. They told the program, “This was something that, obviously, it’s a little bit embarrassing. And now that it’s gone viral, he really just wants to move on with his life.”
As noted by Entertainment Weekly, Hasselbeck also had something else to recently share. She would make a brief return to The View. Hasselbeck would be among several guest panelists filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is on maternity leave following the birth of her first child. As previously reported, insiders had claimed there was interest in Hasselbeck returning to the series. However, at the time, it was unclear if it was as a guest role or a permanent move.
