New details are coming to light in the separation of Kandi Burruss and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Todd Tucker. The pair were married for 11 years before Burruss announced in November 2025 that she was filing for divorce from Tucker.

Just days ago, Tucker filed a response to Kandi Burruss’ divorce filing, seeking primary custody of their two minor children. Today, more shocking news has emerged, with a source sharing allegations that paint Tucker in a negative light.

An insider claims that Burruss and Tucker were experiencing marital woes well before she filed for divorce in November. The same source told PEOPLE that Burruss had grown upset in their relationship when she “found out that Todd had been talking to other women behind her back,” adding that Burruss “had no idea.”

According to an earlier report from The Blast, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star opened up about her decision to end her 11-year marriage with Tucker shortly after appearing at BravoCon 2025. “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family,” she said.

Days after announcing her separation from Tucker, whom Burruss married in front of Bravo cameras in a 2014 wedding special, the “No Scrubs” hitmaker confessed to experiencing ups and downs while also noting how emotionally draining navigating a divorce can be. “Sometimes you’re cool, you’re moving, you’re mixing, you’re moving, you’re hanging out with friends,” she said.

However, Burruss stated that when she’s not able to keep herself busy, she experiences “moments of sadness.” Burruss also got candid about keeping many of her emotions bottled up inside. “So all the times you’ve been seeing me online [all smiles] means nothing. I’ve been going through it, child. I’ve been going through it. Life has been life-ing me,” she said.

On Wednesday, November 26, Tucker filed a response to Burruss’ divorce petition, requesting primary physical custody of their two minor children, citing Burruss’ busy schedule and “out-of-state work obligations.” Tucker added that while he and Burruss have reached a temporary agreement regarding their children, if they are unable to solidify a long-term plan, he would seek primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority.

Elsewhere in his filing, Tucker raised concerns about the prenuptial agreement he signed, questioning its validity because he claimed he signed it without his lawyers present. The filing noted that Tucker was presented with the legal document “without [Tucker] having counsel, even though [Burruss’] then counsel had communicated previously with [Tucker’s team] regarding a potential prenuptial agreement.”

It didn’t take long for Burruss to respond to Tucker’s statement about their prenuptial agreement, asking that the court review footage from their wedding special, “Kandi’s Wedding,” available to stream on Peacock.

“The parties’ journey to executing an enforceable Prenuptial Agreement was filmed and broadcast on Bravo television network, with the knowledge and consent of both [Burruss] and [Tucker], for their five-part reality television wedding documentary entitled Burruss’s Wedding that premiered on June 1, 2014,” the statement read.
