Deepti Sharma pulls off unbelievable one-handed catch to dismiss Grace Harris

It all happened in the 44.6th over when India’s Deepti Sharma was bowling to Harris. With the ball pitched up full just outside off, Harris went for an aggressive shot, planting her front foot and smashing the ball back towards Deepti. In a split second,  flung out her left hand, making an unbelievable grab right at the centre of her palm.

The catch was nothing short of spectacular, with the ball travelling at pace. The crowd erupted as the ball stuck, and Australia suddenly found themselves seven wickets down, shifting the momentum in India’s favour. This remarkable piece of fielding by Deepti highlighted her athleticism and reflexes, making it one of the standout moments of the match. Harris, who had just started her innings, was sent back for just 1 run off 2 balls, and the catch from Deepti left everyone in awe of her brilliance in the field. India’s spirits were lifted, and they continued their pursuit of breaking through Australia’s deep batting lineup.

Australia women post enormous total of 412/10 in 47.5 overs against India Women

Australia have set a colossal target of 413 runs for India Women after a relentless batting display in the 3rd ODI at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Electing to bat first, Australia piled on 412 runs before being bowled out in the 47.5th over. Beth Mooney played a scintillating knock of 138 off just 75 balls, while Georgia Voll added 81 from 68 balls. The innings featured breathtaking hitting, with Mooney smashing 23 fours and 1 six, and Voll contributing 14 fours. Despite the onslaught, India’s bowlers fought back in patches, with Deepti and Kranti Goud picking up crucial wickets.

Australia reached key milestones quickly, crossing 50 in 5.6 overs, 100 in 13.3 overs, and 150 in 20.6 overs. Mooney’s century came off just 57 balls, and Australia continued to dominate throughout, amassing 400 runs by the 46.4 over mark. However, a late flurry of wickets saw the Aussies bowled out for 412 in 47.5 overs. The bowlers for India, including Kranti Goud and Renuka Singh, faced immense pressure, with Goud picking up 1 wicket for 56 runs in her 6 overs. With an enormous target set, India now faces the challenge of chasing down a mammoth total in the second innings. The match remains wide open, with India needing an exceptional response from their top order.
