Netflix have dropped the official Trailer for Cover-Up, the latest documentary film from award winning filmmaker Laura Poitras.
This time Poitras is not alone in filmmaking duties, the documentary is co-directed with Mark Obenhaus. Cover-Up is another pick up from the film festivals, debuting at Venice.
This one is all about the career of Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Seymour Hersh. He may not be a name many people might know, however if you are an upcoming journalist you will know his work. Hersh is a leading figure in American journalism, exposing My Lai massacre and cover up during the Vietnam War in 1969.
This is described as a political thriller, gives you an indication what we’re watching. This is a tribute to a journalist who helped open peoples eyes to corruption. Whilst many countries around the world have their ways to ‘silence’ journalists. Hersh faced powerful peoples and institutions face on regardless of the dangers. This looks a fascinating film and a must watch for any wannabe journalists.
