The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) returns for its 11th season starting November 9, 2025, promising excitement for cricket fans worldwide.

    WBBL|11 begins witha triple-header

The WBBL|11 kicks off with a blockbuster triple-header, including a rematch of last season’s final between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades at Allan Border Field. Alongside, Sydney Thunder take on Hobart Hurricanes, while Perth Scorchers face Sydney Sixers in the opening fixtures.

This season features eight franchises – Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Adelaide Strikers, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers  and Hobart Hurricanes – all competing in a round-robin format where each team plays 10 matches. The regular season, spanning over five weeks, concludes on December 7, followed by knockout matches leading to the final on December 13 at the home venue of the top-ranked team.

Jemimah Rodrigues: The lone Indian in WBBL|11

Jemimah Rodrigues is the sole Indian player retained by Brisbane Heat, making her highly anticipated as she returns after a stellar showing in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. However, notable absences include Deepti Sharma and Smriti Mandhana, who are not participating this season, making room for emerging talents.
