When Calls the Heart premiered on the Hallmark Channel back in 2014. The series, which is based on Janette Oke’s book of the same name, starts off with a young teacher, Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth, starting a new life in a Canadian mining town.
The series is currently in its thirteenth season, which premiered on January 4, 2026. Airing on Sunday, the season is expected to wrap up on March 22, 2026, with the episode, “Harvest Moon.”
In the interim, fans have been following Elizabeth’s love story with Nathan Grant, played by Kevin McGarry. Though the two have spent years longing for each other, they only became a couple on the show over the past few seasons.
‘Blessings’ Recently Saw Nathan Prepare For A Big Moment With Elizabeth, All Without Letting Her Know
Earlier this season, Elizabeth’s son, Jack “LJ” Thornton Jr., played by Hyland Goodrich, even asked Nathan about marrying her. Since that moment, fans began to suspect that wedding bells could soon be in the couple’s future.
Recently, on Instagram, the series teased a promo for an episode in which Nathan tried to get Elizabeth an engagement ring. In the episode, “Blessings,” Nathan is tasked with finding out Elizabeth’s ring size and getting a few blessings before the big moment. This included Brooke Shields’ character, Charlotte, and Elizabeth’s late husband, Jack, in spirit.
However, even before the episode aired, fans were already excited to see what could happen next for the couple. On the Instagram post, fans already shared a few reactions. Some comments included:
