Since Season 6, When Calls the Heart fans have come to know and love Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard. He has been a staple, and some faithful viewers have always wanted Lucas and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) to be endgame. Chris McNally Done Before Season 14?
Season 13 of When Calls the Heart just aired, and viewers loved it. They got to see Lori Loughlin back in action, so it was like coming home. Furthermore, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) got engaged, which was a special moment in time. Lucas (Chris McNally) and Edie (Miranda MacDougall) finally realized that they were meant to be. They kissed, and it looked like Edie was taking the next steps in her career. She was headed to New York, and Lucas began to reevaluate his life choices.
Ultimately, he stepped down from his government position, which has made some viewers wonder what is next for him. Will he go to New York with Edie? If he does, what does that mean for Chris’ character? Is he going to be exiting When Calls the Heart for Season 14 and pursuing other projects? Although the show has been confirmed to return in 2027, will Chris be there with the rest of the cast? He has been a faithful Hallmark actor and is married to Julie Gonzalo, whom he met on a network film.
Currently, she is expecting the couple’s second child, so he may want to go on hiatus to enjoy family time. However, Erin Krakow is also pregnant, and she is returning, so anything is possible. As of now, it does not appear that Chris will be hanging up his hat, and hopefully, he will stick around for the foreseeable future.
