Whoopi Goldberg is a moderator on The View. This is something that fans have known since the show started. Her job is to keep conversations flowing amongst the co-hosts. She is also in charge of making sure the correct questions are asked and nothing gets too crazy. Recently, she had to stop Joy Behar from asking Mark Wahlberg a question she should not have asked. This is more so what she does and her part in the talk show. However, a lot of people have noticed that she is taking it too seriously.

Fans have noticed Whoopi Goldberg becoming “territorial” over her moderator job. This is something that they do not love about her. If Joy cannot step in, Whoopi is quick to join the show from home on Zoom.
- I’m convinced that she has it in her contract that only she and Joy can moderate. Or, at the very least, that she has first refusal if Joy can’t do it.
- It makes for a weaker show. It would have been so much better if Sunny or Sara moderated today whilst Whoopi took the day off.

Viewers would actually like to see more of the other hosts doing the job. However, Whoopi does not allow this to happen.
It seems as though viewers are getting tired of how much Whoopi cares about moderating. In fact, they would like to see some of the other hosts do it and give it a try. However, this is not something Whoopi allows. Fans have even questioned if she has something in her contract to make this happen. Joy is the only person she is okay with taking over the spot.
