Andrew Mountbatten Windsor might not be getting his payout for moving out of the Royal Lodge.

Recent reports suggest that Andrew, 65, was set to receive a nearly $728,000 (£558,000) payout as part of a past agreement regarding his living situation. However, that all changed when the disgraced royal family member’s title was stripped.

Us understands that the Crown Estate will make the final decision regarding Andrew’s payout after any work done to the property is assessed, which could impact the payment.

The Daily Mail reported that Andrew will be “denied” most of the payout, with a royal source telling the publication that there is “a lot of work” that needs to be done on the property.

Us Weekly has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has officially been stripped of his “prince” title as he continues to make headlines for his connection to Jeffrey Epstein. Buckingham Palace announced in October 2025 that King Charles III had officially started the “formal” process to remove his brother’s “style, titles and honors” amid the fallout from his sexual assault scandal. […]

Andrew has been living rent-free in the Royal Lodge, located in Windsor, for 22 years. Andrew’s lease agreement had him living on the property until 2078, stating that he could receive the large sum of money if he gave up said lease.

Us also understands that Andrew will be receiving an appropriate private provision because he is King Charles III’s brother. However, Andrew is meant to figure out any other sources of income.

Charles, 76, stripped Andrew of his prince title on Thursday, October 30, and evicted the disgraced royal family member from his home.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” a statement from Buckingham Palace to Us Weekly read. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.”

The statement shared that “formal notice” has since been given to Andrew. Us understands he will relocate to Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” last week’s statement read. “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Charles’ decision came as Andrew continued to make headlines for his connection to convicted billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew’s friendship with the late Epstein was first revealed in 2019 when the late Virginia Giuffre made allegations against the former prince.

Giuffre claimed that she and Andrew had sexual relations when she was underage in 2001. Andrew has continued to deny the allegations. Giuffre eventually sued Andrew for sexual abuse in 2021. They settled outside of court the following year.

King Charles III’s decision to strip Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of his prince title is a move that Queen Elizabeth II never would have made. “This must have been a painful decision for the King — this is his brother, after all,” royal author Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly exclusively after news broke on Thursday, October […]

Giuffre died by suicide at age 41 this past April. Months later, her memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was posthumously published and included more allegations against both Andrew and Epstein.

“In the years since, I’ve thought a lot about how he behaved,” Giuffre wrote about Andrew, in part. “He was friendly enough, but still entitled — as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright.”

Giuffre claimed that she had three sexual encounters with Andrew, one of which was an alleged orgy with Epstein.

“The other girls all appeared to be under the age of 18 and didn’t really speak English,” Giuffre wrote. “Epstein laughed about how they couldn’t really communicate, saying they are the easiest girls to get along with.”
