Wolves have the chance to disrupt another team’s Champions League push when Liverpool visit Molineux tonight.
Rob Edwards’ side saw off local rivals Aston Villa on Friday night – putting a dent in their top-four hopes – and can do likewise to a Liverpool side that start the evening in fifth place in the Premier League table.
Wolves remain bottom and will almost certainly play Championship football next season but, with nothing to lose, they make a dangerous proposition for opposing sides, particularly at home.
Liverpool will be wary although they arrive in the Black Country in confident mood following Saturday’s 5-2 defeat of struggling West Ham. They have won six of their last seven games in all competitions, including the last two away from Anfield.
