ZAGREB: The iconic Kino Europa in Zagreb, which ceased all activities in 2019, has entered a complex construction, conservation, restoration and modernisation project.
The 11.6 m EUR investment, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the City of Zagreb, includes a new multimedia system and lighting, interior refurbishment, VR sets to screen virtual reality films, as well as the development of a digital platform featuring its own streaming service (which will be accessible throughout Croatia), according to Croatia Week.
The project is planned to wrap at the end of 2027.
