Kim Kardashian is facing backlash after a viral video questioned her decision to allow her 12-year-old daughter, North West, to attend Coachella. The clip, which has been circulating on X, features a woman passionately calling out what she believes are inappropriate environments for young celebrity children.
Woman Slams Kim Kardashian Over Daughter’s Coachella Appearance
In the video, the woman immediately expresses concern over the situation. “These are 12 year old children12 year old children at Coachella,” she said.
While she initially questioned whether the kids were alone, she acknowledged they were likely surrounded by security. “I was gonna say alone, but then I realized that they probably have bodyguards,” she admitted. “But not their parents.”
The woman went on to criticize the idea that hired security could replace parental supervision. “Bodyguards that are being paid, and paid to look in the other direction? Perhaps. Most likely,” she said. “They don’t have a moral sense of, This is my baby. I am gonna protect this person. It’s like, oh, well, I’m getting paid.”
Viral Video Questions Kids In ‘Adult’ Coachella Environment
The video also took aim at how young attendees present themselves at events like Coachella. “They’re wearing too short of shorts… so much makeup and hair. This one looks like she is much older than 12,” she said.
She added that placing children in these environments could expose them to adult situations too soon. “She was being put in inappropriate, adult situations,” the woman claimed.
As the clip continued, the woman broadened her message, urging parents to take a more active role in protecting their children. “Parents, we must protect the next generation,” she urged. “We must protect their eyes. We must protect their minds. We must protect their bodies.”
She also criticized what she described as a growing trend among celebrity families. “I’m so sick and tired of these celebrity kids being to the highest bidder. Being puppeted around, being let into clubs and parties when they’re not ready for it,” she said.
Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash Over Son’s Risky Bike Stunt
This isn’t the first time Kim Kardashian has come under fire for her parenting choices. Earlier this month, the SKIMS founder sparked concern after sharing a photo of her eldest son, Saint, whom she shares with ex Kanye West, pulling off a risky stunt on what appeared to be an electric bike.
Captioned “BIKER BOY SAINT,” the image showed Saint popping a near-vertical wheelie, with the back of the seat grazing the pavement as he held onto the handlebars. While he was wearing a helmet, the daring moment still left many followers uneasy.
“Dangerous!” one person commented. “That doesn’t look like it ended well,” another added.
North West’s Finger Piercings Sparked Major Backlash Last Year

And last year, backlash erupted after North West appeared on TikTok showing off dermal finger piercings. Screenshots from the posts revealed a dual piercing on her right middle finger, along with what looked like a new blue gem dermal on her left middle finger.
The images quickly circulated on Reddit, where users voiced concern over the risks and questioned whether a preteen should have such piercings, reigniting ongoing conversations about Kardashian’s parenting choices.
Kim Kardashian Previously Addressed Parenting Backlash

Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian directly responded to criticism surrounding her daughter North West’s style choices during an appearance on the “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast with Khloé Kardashian. Speaking candidly, Kim made it clear she doesn’t let outside opinions dictate how she parents.
“I’m just not a judgmental person like that, so I try not to pay attention to it,” she said. “But, I think that no one knows unless they’re in my shoes of what I’m dealing with and how we have to manage certain things from the outside world or even close in our life, that we have to go through together.”
She also addressed the ongoing criticism that she’s too lenient or trying to act like her daughter’s friend. “I think like the one misconception that people might have is like, ‘Oh, she’s trying to be her bestie and lets her get away with a lot.’ Like, no. Nory actually has a lot of rules,” she said. “The one area is I do let her express herself, and I do let her do that. I love her for that, and she would do it, you know, regardless.”
