It takes a lot for something as simple as a portable power bank to impress me, but somehow Iniu managed to do it. The company’s new P50 charger boasts an impressive 10,000mAh battery in a frankly minuscule footprint.

The P50 measures in at about 8.3 x 5.2 x 2.6cm and weighs just 160g, making it quite small and light for the amount of power it packs.

Just to put this thing in perspective, check out the photo below comparing the P50 to other power banks, including a 20,000mAh Ugreen Nexode power bank from 2024, and a 15,000mAh Insignia power bank I bought over a decade ago.

Comparing the sizes of power banks. From left to right, Iniu P50 10,000mAh, Ugreen Nexode 20,000mAh, Insignia 15,000mAh.

Sure, the P50’s 10,000mAh isn’t quite as much as those other power banks, but it’s impressively close given how much smaller it is. And 10,000mAh will still give you one to three charges for your phone, depending on which device you have.

Plus, it can charge your devices quickly with a 45W output from the USB-C ports. Ya, it’s not as fast as the Nexode’s 100W output, but 45W is still fine for most on-the-go charging needs. And again, the P50 is so small that it feels significantly more portable than other options.

The P50 sports three ports in total, two in/out USB-C ports and a USB-A port, which can do 18W charging. However, if you want to use multiple ports at the same time, the charging speed falls to 15W max across all three ports.

Along with the charging capabilities, Iniu included some other niceties in the P50 power bank. These include an LED display that tells you how much charge the P50 has left, activated via a button on the side. It also comes with a lanyard that doubles as a tiny USB-C to C charging cable — a super handy inclusion that further boosts the portability.

Finally, Iniu ships the P50 in five colours: Moonlit Vanilla (which I tested), Blossom Pink, Glacier Blue, Oasis Mint, Twilight Purple, and Bonfire Black. Iniu touts the durability of the P50 as well, and while it definitely can hold up to some abuse, in my experience the vanilla colourway is unfortunately somewhat easy to scratch.

The P50 spent a mere few nights in my wife’s purse when she borrowed it to attend a concert, and that was enough to leave three large scratches (and quite a few smaller ones) on the area around the LED display. However, the rest of the P50 remains unscathed. I don’t find this to be that major of an issue since it’s just a power bank, but if you’re the type of person who cares if your stuff gets scratched, it’s worth keeping in mind with the P50.

    Unfortunately, the P50 isn’t very scratch-resistant.

Finally, there’s the price, which varies depending on where you buy the battery. On Iniu’s website, the P50 retails for $44.99 in Canada, while on Amazon, the battery costs $50. (However, at the time of writing, it was on sale on Amazon for $39.99).

Overall, I think the Iniu P50 is an excellent portable power pack offering plenty of charging in a tiny package. Plus, it looks super cute, especially if you get one of the more fun colour options.
