BUDAPEST: FILMIO, the streaming platform of the National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI), is celebrating the Hungarian Film Day screening domestic films free of charge from 27 April to 10 May 2026.
The selection includes 125 timeless classics and contemporary films.
The Hungarian Film Day is held annually on 30 April since 2018.
On 30 April 1901, 125 years ago, the first Hungarian film, The Dance, premiered at the Uránia National Film Theatre.
