Today, the first Wednesday in May, marks Travel Agent Day, a day of appreciation for travel advisors in Canada.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 years since we first launched the Travel Agent Appreciation edition to mark the occasion in honour of travel advisors back in 2016. Every year, the annual special issue of Travel Courier and Canadian Travel Press highlights remarkable travel advisors from across the country.
One of the highlights of working on the edition is receiving the nominations from BDMs, supplier partners and colleagues who work with these hardworking travel advisors day in and day out. This year we received an overwhelming amount of nominations.

In addition to launching Travel Agent Appreciation a decade ago, in 2021 Baxter Media debuted the Travel Agent & Beyond Award, honouring one of the nominees from the Travel Agent Appreciation edition with some extra recognition.
All the advisors featured in this issue are in the running. This year’s Travel Agent & Beyond Award winner will be announced in the May 28th edition of Travel Courier.
