Mariska Hargitay Will Soon Make A Switch From Television To Broadway
As an actress, Hargitay is best known for playing Olivia Benson on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has played one of the longest-running characters in an American primetime drama, debuting in 1999.
Recently, it was announced that the actress is set to make her debut in the Broadway play, Every Brilliant Thing, at The Hudson Theatre. The play revolves around a child who starts a list to help their mother cope with depression. She will be taking over for Daniel Radcliffe.
Ahead of this, Hargitay has shared a recent new hairstyle in a joint post on Instagram. The star’s hairstylist, Adir Abergel, wrote in a caption, “NEW CUT FOR THE ONE AND ONLY @therealmariskahargitay BROADWAY DEBUT IN @brilliantbway.”
Law & Order, As Well As The Broadway Show, Also Shared Some Love For Its Star On Social Media
The carousel post shared a mix of color and black-and-white photos debuting a blunt bob cut that reached her chin, styled in loose waves. It’s the star’s shortest cut in around 13 years, reflecting the bob that was previously her signature style. She retired the look in 2009.
In a simple caption, Hargitay also shared, “Switching gears,” in reference to her new look. Law & Order‘s official Instagram page also shared, “It should be criminal to look this good!” The Broadway show’s official account also wrote, “Brilliant,” complete with a yellow heart emoji.
