Wondering what to watch on streaming?

Every week, MobileSyrup outlines some of the most notable new movies and TV shows. We typically focus on new content from Amazon’s Prime Video, Crave, Disney+ and Netflix, but other services like Apple TV+ and Paramount+ will be mentioned when relevant. Premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms are also fair game as movies continue to come to digital early.

Finally, we’ll highlight shows or movies that are made by Canadian companies, involve notable Canadian cast or crew, and/or are filmed in Canada.

    Crave

Bon Cop, Bad Cop [Crave Original]

Crave premiere date: Thursday, May 7 (first two episodes, new episodes on Thursdays)
    Genre: Comedy

Based on the film series of the same name, Bon Cop, Bad Cop was created by Montreal’s Patrick Huard, who also reprises the role of Bouchard, while Toronto’s Henry Czerny (Mission: Impossible series) takes over as Ward from Windsor, Ont.’s Colm Feore. Also starring: Montreal’s Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse (reprising her role as Martin’s daughter), Edmonton’s Nathaniel Arcand (North of 60), Ottawa’s Joshua Odjick (It: Welcome to Derry), and Pointe-du-lac’s Christine Beaulieu (Le Mirage).

The series was filmed across Quebec and features dialogue in English, French, and the Indigenous language Mi’gmaq. Co-starring alongside Bouchard and Czerny are Montreal’s Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse (reprising her role as Martin’s daughter), Edmonton’s Nathaniel Arcand (North of 60), Ottawa’s Joshua Odjick (It: Welcome to Derry), and Pointe-du-lac’s Christine Beaulieu (Le Mirage).
