Dave Coulier provided the comic relief on the ’90s sitcom, Full House. He reprised his role as Joey Gladstone on Netflix’s 2016 Fuller House reboot. The legacy of the show suffered a huge loss when Bob Saget died suddenly in 2022. Now, fans fear the same for his co-star after his shockingly frail appearance amid a second battle with cancer. Stay on this page to see his shocking change in appearance.

Full House Star Diagnosed With Cancer Again After Beating It Once

Dave Coulier was first diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November 2024. He immediately started chemo. He received support from his Full House co-stars, including John Stamos, who “shaved” his hair in solidarity.

The comedian was declared cancer-free in March 2025. However, he received bad news during a checkup later that year. He was diagnosed with a second, unrelated cancer. The actor was diagnosed with tongue cancer in October 2025.

Dave Coulier started chemo again and announced in February 2026 that he was in remission again. However, his first social media video in a while revealed a shockingly thin and frail appearance. He provided an update on his cancer journey.

Dave Coulier Shocks With Frail Appearance Amid Cancer Battle

Dave Coulier took to Instagram this week with a health update. He addressed his shocking weight loss and change in voice. “Hi everyone, it’s me Dave and I haven’t posted in quite a while and the last time I did some of you said that I look differently and I sound differently,” he began.

The Full House star continued, “What you’re seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat. I haven’t been able to eat solid food in months and so I’ve lost 45-lb. That’s what you’re seeing and it’s affected my ability to speak.”

Despite his sickly appearance, he shared a hopeful update. “We got our PET scans back and the prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma so we’re very pleased with all of that,” he shared.

    Fans Send Love & Support

Dave Coulier shared that he has been spending his time creating artwork and writing. His followers took to the comments to send love and support during his cancer battle.

    • “I’m just glad you’re still here”
    • “I hate that you even felt like you had to come out here and address this. You look great, you sound great, just keep pushing”
    • “You’re in my prayers Dave, I grew up watching you, you’ll always be Joey in my eyes… Well wishes to you and everyone here”
    • “You’re still alive and that’s all that matters.”
    • “The only thing that matters is that you’re tough, pushed through, and are still with us, Sir. Keep it up!”

Dave Coulier’s appearance is shocking, but his openness about his cancer battle is admirable. We send him the best.
