Google’s newest Gemini model is available today for everyone via the Gemini app and AI Mode in Google Search.
Google says the new model, dubbed Gemini 3.5 Flash, offers intelligence that compares to large flagship models at quick speeds. Also, it’s the company’s strongest agentic and coding model yet, outperforming Gemini 3.1 Pro. Using benchmarks like Terminal-Bench 2.1, MCP Atlas and CharXiv Reasoning, when considering token output per second, 3.5 Flash is four times faster than “other frontier models.”
Gemini 3.5 Flash is now the default model for the Gemini app and AI Mode globally.
Additionally, it’s powering the new Gemini Spark, a personal AI agent that runs 24/7 in the background to help you with your personal life — although Gemini Spark isn’t available in Canada yet.
Further, Google assures us that Gemini 3.5 Pro will arrive next month.
