Where to Watch the F1 Canadian Grand Prix

The Canadian Grand Prix is finally here, and if you want to tune in to see the world’s greatest open-wheel racers speed around Canadian streets, I’ll tell you exactly where to find it.

The race is taking place at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, on Sunday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET or 11 a.m. PT. This is the first F1 race since Sunday, May 3, and the second since late March, as the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia GPs were cancelled for… obvious reasons.

Now, without further ado, let’s get right into it.

    How to watch

If you want the easiest way to watch it, TSN is F1’s official partner in Canada. A subscription for the TSN+ streaming service is $8/mo, and will give you access not only to the race, but also other TSN channels/streams, alongside original content. Additionally, TSN+ will give you multiple different feeds of the race, including onboard cameras, pit lane channels, qualifying races, and the grand prix itself

If you don’t care enough to get just TSN, you could always use Bell’s streaming service bundles to make it easier to sign up for these services and get more than just sports. Currently, Bell offers bundles with TSN, Disney, and Crave, with prices ranging from $28.99/mo to $41.75/mo depending on the service tiers you choose.

If you are also conveniently in need of a phone plan, Bell is offering three free months of a TSN app subscription when you sign up for a new mobile plan or get a new phone through the telecom giant. I should note, though, you won’t get the camera feeds like you would with TSN+.

There is also the F1TV app, but to watch the race live, you need the F1 TV Pro tier, which costs $12.99/mo.

Now, if you want a cheekier way to watch the Grand Prix and don’t want to spend a lot of money for just one race, Apple TV is the official partner of F1 in the U.S., and there is a week-long free trial available. With that being said, if you have a VPN available, you could technically use one set to the U.S. and nab a free Apple TV subscription to catch the race that way. However, it may not be reliable, and I recommend just paying for TSN+ and getting the cool extra camera feeds.

And if you want to follow along and participate a little bit, check out this Toronto-made F1 fantasy app for a fun way to get involved.
