PlayStation has confirmed that its next State of Play presentation will be held on Tuesday, June 2.
In a blog post, the company noted that the stream will run for over 60 minutes and feature news and announcements related to games from “top studios around the world,” including a closer look at Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine ahead of its September 15 release.
PlayStation didn’t tease anything else, but given that the last State of Play was in February, this one should definitely provide some meaningful updates.
The State of Play will take place on June 2 at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT and stream on YouTube and Twitch.
Notably, the State of Play is effectively kicking off the big June period of gaming showcases. On June 5, Canadian Geoff Keighley will host his annual Summer Game Fest showcase, which will feature news about all kinds of games. On June 7, Xbox will hold its own annual Xbox Games Showcase, which will be immediately followed by a presentation focused on Vancouver-based The Coalition’s Gears of War: E-Day. And throughout all of this, smaller showcases will be held by various groups, like the indie-focused Day of the Devs on June 7, right after the main SGF event.
