Wheel of Fortune is an iconic part of the history of television in the United States. “America’s Game” since 1975. The popular game show continued even after longtime host Pat Sajak retired. Now, it is teaming up with a beloved brand to mark a huge celebration for the whole country. Keep reading for all the details.
Wheel of Fortune Teams Up With Beloved Brand For Special Celebration
Wheel of Fortune celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025. But the game show isn’t done celebrating. It was announced this week that the popular game show has teamed up with another beloved brand for a joint celebration of this summer’s biggest event.
The United States declared independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776. The Declaration of Independence wasn’t officially signed until months later, but July 4th is widely recognized as the date to celebrate. And the country will certainly celebrate this year. July 4, 2026, marks 250 years of U.S. independence. The milestone deserves more than just the traditional fireworks. In a surprising partnership, Wheel of Fortune has teamed up with Coca-Cola for a joint venture to honor the huge anniversary.
As part of America250, Coca-Cola serves as the sponsor of Wheel of Fortune for two weeks in June. The event, titled “Drink In America Presented by Coca-Cola,” kicks off on June 1 with the second week beginning on June 29.
According to Variety, the game show will include trips to “iconic” cities in America as prizes during the celebratory weeks. Furthermore, a new Jeep will be a possible Bonus Round prize. Jeep is one of the America250 sponsors.

The Wheel of Fortune set will be temporarily revamped to promote Coca-Cola and its partnership.
Other America250 Events Planned
July 4th is already one of the country’s most celebrated holidays. But this summer’s holiday will go down in the history books. The government created an official America250 organization to plan and carry out celebrations across the country.
Some of the planned events include The Great American State Fair in Washington D.C., from June 25 to July 10. The country’s capital hosts several other events to mark the anniversary, including a Grand Prix race, a UFC fight on the White House Lawn, and Patriot Games featuring high school athletes. And of course, there will be fireworks on July 4th.
Game Show Viewers React To Collaboration
The United States was born out of patriotism and the quest for independence to control our own lives. But is there a point where patriotism goes too far? Some Wheel of Fortune fans took to social media to complain about the show’s surprising collaboration with Coca-Cola.
- “I’m kinda sick of having a different sponsor every week at this point but whatever, it’s the way it is now I guess.”
- “sounds like one big commercial!”
- “Coca-cola sponsored week with a home viewer giveaway, basically like every other sponsored week.”
The complaints were less about America250 and more about advertisements taking over the talk show. However, one fan pointed out that the sponsorships are what keep the show on the air.
