Jennifer Lopez Admitted To Taking Time For Herself To ‘Figure Myself Out’ After Second Split From Affleck
The news of Lopez and Affleck’s second split sparked a lot of chatter on social media. In March 2026, the “Office Romance” actress appeared on “Good Morning America” to discuss how she took care of herself after their breakup.
“I took a year off,” she said. “I canceled tours. I decided to just be home and sit in what had happened without running away from it through work, through another person through anything. Just sit.”

Jennifer Lopez Reportedly Avoided ‘Rebound’ Relationship With Her New Co-Star

According to a previous report from The Blast, a source said that Lopez has been keeping to her word and staying focused on herself over the last several months.
The source also said that the musician has avoided entering into a “rebound” relationship with her co-star, Brett Goldstein, who appeared alongside her in their latest Netflix film.
“She had fun with him, there’s no denying that, and she still thinks he’s a genuinely lovely guy, but it was never going to turn into anything serious for her,” the insider claimed. “She is someone who has a very clear vision for her life, she knows what it takes for a man to hold her interest long term and she doesn’t want to set anyone up for failure.”
Additionally, the source claimed that Lopez and Goldstein would never work together because their stars are on two different levels.
“She has brand J.Lo to think of and after being dumped so publicly by a huge A-list movie star like Ben, her next boyfriend needs to match him on every level, from star quality to bank balance,” they said.
Lopez And Afleck Are Good Despite What People May Think About Their Relationship

“There’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something,” Affleck said. “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, ‘Hey, what happened?’ Well, there is no, ‘This is what happened.’ It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do.”
