Eyedress has dropped “Alone at Night” featuring Whirr vocalist Loren Rivera, released via Atlantic Records and Eyedress’s new label, Psychedelic Industries.
The track was co-written by Eyedress and Rivera, drawing inspiration from Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine remixing his track “House of Cards,” which encouraged him to start working on the shoegaze album he dreamed of making.

“I DMed Loren from Whirr because the song felt perfect for him,” Eyedress says. “I had been listening to Whirr heavily after my friend Julius told me the singer was Filipino. I originally made the instrumental back in my old studio in Altadena before the fires went down, so I felt like the music was special because it was made there before everything burned down.
“I might not always show it, but I definitely think it’s important for Filipinos to work together,” he continues. “That’s why I wanted to make this song in the first place. With some people, it just doesn’t work out because of our differences in taste or morals, but with Loren, it all flowed so naturally.”
