Goldberg is an actress and comedian with a career spanning decades. However, many know her as a panelist on The View. She officially joined the show in 2007, making her debut as moderator for the show’s eleventh season.
Recently, Goldberg had a few choice words for one figure in particular. This took place during a discussion with a special guest.
Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut served as a guest during a recent episode of the show. During his appearance, he argued that lawmakers should force a bipartisan vote during a discussion of a stalled war powers resolution tied to the current. Iranian conflict.
This Isn’t The First Time Goldberg Offered An On-Air Apology This Month
As Murphy shared, “We’ve been bringing a resolution and forcing a vote in the Senate every single week to end the war, and in the Senate last week, for the first time, we got enough Republicans, so that we now have a majority. The House would have a majority as well, but because they don’t want to embarrass the president, the House has decided to cancel a vote on a resolution that would put both the House and the Senate on the same side, ending the war with a bipartisan vote.”
Murphy continued, sharing his belief that “I think the House should do the right thing.” This appeared to be a reference to House Speaker Mike Johnson. In reference to him, Goldberg appeared to respond with, “He’s a moron.”
However, within seconds, Goldberg seemed to regret the remark. She apologized, saying, “I’m sorry that came out of my mouth,” she said. “I take it back.”
This isn’t the first time this month in which Goldberg made an on-air apology. Earlier in May, as previously reported, she suggested Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was “OK” with South Africa’s apartheid past. However, she later expressed, “Let me just say this first because I know [it] will have upset people. I don’t know that he was an apartheid apologist… I don’t know anything about him, except that I’m not a fan, so I take it back… I don’t know if he was there.”
