She insisted that her weight loss is to stay healthy for her kids. “My mom died young of cancer and both my parents had diabetes. … I need to live. I need to live and the kids need me.,” she said.

The talk show host lost about 180 pounds by using Mounjaro, a weight loss drug similar to Ozempic. Whoopi Goldberg, 70, has had several health issues over the years. Her weight loss journey was a quest to be her healthiest self. She wants to stick around on the ABC talk show for as long as she can.
