Jamie Foxx posted a goat emoji and a brief message on Instagram this week. The caption read “undisputed… the Sagittarius ain’t playing… remind em king,” and really, that’s about all that needed saying.
The message is short and confident. Foxx is a Sagittarius, born December 13, 1967. He’s worn that zodiac identity openly throughout his career. The sign carries a reputation for boldness and competitive drive, and Foxx has never really tried to walk that back.
The timing gives this kind of post its full meaning. In April 2023, Foxx suffered a stroke and spent weeks in the hospital. His recovery was long and genuinely serious. He spoke publicly about the experience. He called it one of the scariest things he’d ever faced and was candid about how uncertain his path back had felt.
He came back steadily and in a big way. By early 2025, Foxx was starring in the Netflix action-comedy “Back in Action” opposite Cameron Diaz. Diaz had come out of retirement to take the role.
The film was already in production at the time of his hospitalization. His stroke happened mid-filming. Getting it finished and out there became a story of its own, and the film marked a real return for both of them.
His social media in the time since has stayed consistent in tone. Always confident, always pushing forward. This week’s post fits right into that pattern.
The GOAT claim has a real resume behind it. Foxx won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2004 for playing Ray Charles in “Ray.” The performance is still cited as one of the strongest biographical portrayals in modern film. That same year, he appeared in Michael Mann’s “Collateral” and earned strong critical attention for a completely different kind of role. Two standout performances in twelve months is a rare thing.
The credits keep going. He starred in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” in 2012. He played Electro in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” in 2014. He built an early following through “The Jamie Foxx Show” in the 1990s. His music career has run alongside all of it, with multiple R&B and pop albums released over the years. Foxx has put in strong work across just about every format he’s touched.
Zodiac pride is familiar territory on social media. A lot of celebrities lean into their birth sign as personal branding, and Foxx has done it more than once. The Sagittarius angle fits naturally with the confident, resilient image he’s put out throughout his comeback. He’s leaned into it before, and it lands cleanly here.
That health scare was three years ago now. Foxx is still out here calling himself undisputed, goat emoji and all. Looking at that career, it’s honestly hard to argue.
