Meghan Markle has been criticized after sending a gift to a vocal supporter who has previously targeted Prince William and Kate Middleton.
One royal observer called the move “disgusting,” as the recipient is known for defending the Duchess of Sussex online while also taking a swipe at other senior members of the royal family.
The controversy comes amid reports that Prince Harry wants to repair his strained relationship with his family. It also follows claims that he is uneasy about the long-running public tension between Meghan and Kate, even though the Princess of Wales is said to be largely unbothered by it.
Meghan has drawn criticism after sending a box of As Ever products to online supporter The Notorious JTB, who has a large following on Instagram and TikTok.
The influencer, who frequently praises the Duchess of Sussex and defends her against critics, revealed the gift in a new social media video, per The Express. The clip included the message: “The Duchess sent me a gift. This was not on my 2026 Bingo card. Wow.
In the caption, he added: I received a gift from @meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and I’m still a little stunned.”
The gesture raised eyebrows because The Notorious JTB has also criticized senior royals, including William and Kate.
In a quote response, one user on X wrote, “This confirms what many suspected all along: Meghan knows exactly who is attacking William, Catherine, Charles, Camilla, and the Royal Family on her behalf.”
They added, “Shame on you, Meghan, you’re as disgusting as they get!”
Harry Worried Over Meghan’s Feud With Kate
Harry is said to be keen on reconciling with his family after years of strained ties and damaging allegations against the royals. However, reports suggest Meghan is focused on growing her business ventures and building financial independence outside royal life.
TalkTV presenter Kevin O’Sullivan has claimed that the Duke is also troubled by Meghan’s long-running tension with Kate. The two women appeared to fall out over their different views on royal life, with their relationship later overshadowed by the public account of a bridesmaid dress disagreement before Meghan’s 2018 wedding.
“There’s another sorry saga haunting hapless Harry. And that’s her ladyship’s long-running ‘feud’ with the Princess of Wales. Fought on the transatlantic battlefield of publicity, it’s a war that ‘confident Kate’ is barely bothered by,” O’Sullivan said on his show.
Meghan Markle And Harry’s Titles Reportedly Under Scrutiny
O’Sullivan went on to cite examples where he claimed Meghan appeared to compete with Kate for publicity.
He pointed to the Princess of Wales’ return to royal duties at “Trooping the Colour” after her cancer treatment, claiming Meghan tried to “knock Kate off the front pages” with the launch of her dog biscuits.
He also referenced Kate’s solo working trip to Italy with The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood in May. According to the broadcaster, Meghan posted a baby photo of her and Harry’s son, Archie, to mark his seventh birthday in what he described as “eerily comparable circumstances.”
He then suggested the tension could eventually carry real consequences for the Sussexes once Kate’s influence within the monarchy grows even stronger.
“And when she wears the crown,” he added, “insiders predict that Kate will have no hesitation urging William to strip his estranged brother Harry and Meghan of their titles they continue to commercialize.”
Kate Said To Have Shut Down Meghan Markle Reunion
Another element that Kate is said to be uncomfortable with is her perception of Harry and Meghan’s use of their royal links after stepping back from official family duties in 2020.
With Harry reportedly expected in the U.K. for an Invictus Games event in July, Kate has allegedly “totally killed off” the idea of a reunion with the Sussexes.
“That has become incredibly difficult for Kate to accept because she takes the responsibilities of royal life very seriously,” one commentator said. “In short, [she] has killed off the idea of a reunion with the Sussexes this summer.”
Kate Linked With Possible U.S. Visit
After stepping back into international duties with her trip to Italy, Kate is now being linked with possible future visits abroad.
Royal correspondent Jessie Bond told The Mirror that the princess’s last solo tour signals a shift following her health battle.
“This is certainly a welcome milestone in Catherine’s journey to full recovery, and the King will be delighted. He undoubtedly trusts her implicitly to represent the Royal Family both at home and abroad,” she told the news outlet.
“She has a star quality that no other royal can bring to an occasion,” Bond added. “And that’s a valuable asset for the monarchy. William will be equally pleased and proud to see his wife undertake an official solo trip abroad… It speaks volumes about her growing self-confidence after such a devastating health scare.”
