President Trump suffered several big losses in real court and the court of public opinion this week. The View host Whoopi Goldberg broke down in tears over the situation. Keep reading to find out the latest on what’s happening.
President Trump Suffers Huge Blows To Agenda
President Trump has a large number of detractors who disagree with nearly every move he makes. Most hosts of The View have publicly ended their support of Trump, even if they’re Republicans. The President has his share of supporters, but a majority of the country is against many of his recent policies.
Surprisingly, federal judges have ruled against the Trump administration in two of his most high-profile projects. He announced in December that he was adding his name to the iconic Kennedy Center. However, a court challenge on May 29 deemed that it was illegal to change the building’s name to the Trump Kennedy Center without the approval of Congress. Coincidentally, May 29 is President Kennedy’s birthday.
Earlier this month, the Department of Justice announced a $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” to compensate those who were victimized by the government, such as those arrested and prosecuted for their participation in the riots in the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
Days after losing the case on the Kennedy Center renaming, another judge temporarily blocked the creation of the fund. Outside of the court rulings, the birthday party President Trump planned for the U.S. hit a huge snag when nearly all of the performers backed out.

The Time’s Morris Day was the first to drop out, followed quickly by Young MC. Martina McBride, the Commodores, and Bret Michaels also dropped out of performing at the Great American State Fair event. As it stands now, only Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida remain committed to performing at the event.
Whoopi Goldberg Broken Over Trump Losses
President Trump’s court losses were discussed on The View‘s “Hot Topics” segment. Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t hold back her tears as she broke down over the setbacks. But as any viewer would know, she was being sarcastic.

She hid her face in her hands and wiped away a fake tear before reveling in the President’s embarrassing losses. “I just want to point out that, you know, Bret Michaels, who plays for everybody, and The Commodores who play for everybody – I mean, Martina McBride is not a politicized person. Y’all made it political because you made it into something it was not supposed to be and you didn’t tell the artists,” she said about the artists dropping like flies from the Freedom 250 festival.
The View Hosts Vow To Celebrate America250
President Trump has floated the idea of scrapping musical performances and giving a speech himself. Sunny Hostin explained how the event fell apart. She revealed that there were two different events being planned at the same time. The America250 celebration was a bipartisan effort created by Congress in 2016 to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday.
The Freedom 250 was created in January 2025 during President Trump’s second term. One of its events is the upcoming UFC fight on the White House lawn. Sara Haines and Ana Navarro encouraged viewers to celebrate the country’s huge milestone regardless of what was happening with the dueling America250 and Freedom 250 events. Many corporate sponsors, including Disney, have events planned throughout the country. Click here to find events in your area.
