Kyle Stowers and Owen Caissie hit two-out homers in a six-run fourth inning, Otto Lopez had two hits and two RBIs, and the Miami Marlins beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-0 to extend their winning streak to four games.

Lopez improved his major-league-leading batting average to .342 with his fourth straight multi-hit game. He leads the majors with 91 hits and 28 multi-hit games.

Liam Hicks and Heriberto Hernandez each had two hits and scored twice for the Marlins, who have won seven of eight and have captured each of their past three series. They have outscored Arizona 18-6 in the first two games of the current three-game set.

Gabriel Moreno had two of the six hits amassed by the Diamondbacks, who have lost four of five and nine of 12.

William Kempner (1-0), the third of four Miami pitchers, struck out three in two innings for his first major league victory.

Miami starter Ryan Gusto gave up three hits in four scoreless innings before leaving with a 7-0 lead. He struck out four and walked one in his fourth appearance of the season.

Arizona’s Ryne Nelson (2-5) permitted seven runs on eight hits including two homers in four innings. He hit two, struck out two and walked one. He has given up 17 homers this season, tied for the second most in the majors.

Miami opened the scoring in the third, when Hicks tripled with two outs in and scored on Lopez’s first single for a 1-0 lead.

The Marlins scored all six of their runs in the fourth with two outs. Hernandez singled to open the inning and Nelson retired the next two batters before Caissie lined a 370-foot homer to right.

Javier Sanoja singled and Hicks was hit by a pitch before Lopez singled in Sanoja. Stowers capped the rally with a 425-foot homer into the upper deck in right field for a 7-0 lead. Caissie’s sacrifice fly in the fifth made it 8-0.

The Diamondbacks had their best scoring chance in the sixth, when they loaded the bases with one out. Lake Bachar got out of the inning with a flyout and a strikeout.
