Laura Jarrett & Savannah Sellers Recently Filled In For Dylan Dreyer On Today
Dreyer is a television meteorologist best known for her work with Today. She joined NBC News in 2012, previously serving as the weather anchor for Weekend Today.
Fans recently noticed that Dreyer was absent from Today earlier this week. This included the June 8 and 9 shows. Instead, Laura Jarrett and Savannah Sellers filled in for her on Today‘s third hour.
On June 10, Dreyer made her return to Studio 1A, appearing alongside Al Roker and Craig Melvin. However, even before this, she took to social media to share a story to explain what was going on.
In her post, Dreyer shared, “Here’s your sign to book that little trip with your best friend that you keep saying you’re going to get away with! Your heart and soul will thank you!” Standing alongside her was her close friend, Anne Allred.
Dreyer & Anne Allred Have Been Friends For Years, Previously Working Together Back In Boston
The carousel post featured the two in all sorts of scenes. Starting things off, the two posed before the Omni Homestead Resort & Spa in Virginia. The two could be seen enjoying the resort’s famous Warm Springs Pools. In addition, the two could be seen enjoying a few of the local sites. The friends went for a hike, played golf, and even appeared to enjoy something to eat at a local restaurant.
Dreyer’s post soon got a positive response from the resort itself. In the comments, its official Instagram page shared, “Hi Dylan – We’re thrilled you chose us for your getaway and look forward to welcoming y’all back Home(stead) soon!”
As noted by TV Insider, Allred and Dreyer go way back. They previously worked together for the NBC Boston affiliate WHDH. Around the time Dreyer joined Weekend Today, Allred moved to KSDK in St. Louis, Missouri.
Taking to the comments, fans shared their reaction to the sweet moment between friends. Naturally, many St. Louis fans were proud to see Allred enjoy herself alongside Dreyer. Of course, a few fans always remembered watching the two work alongside each other. Some comments included:
