Jimmy Kimmel took a break from trolling President Trump to set his sights on Spencer Pratt. Reality TV fans might know Spencer as the villain of The Hills, but he put on a good campaign to be the next mayor of Los Angeles. The late-night host offered to help him relocate after an embarrassing election loss. Keep reading for more details on the evolving situation.
Spencer Pratt Loses L.A. Mayor Bid
Like many residents of the Pacific Palisades in California, Spencer Pratt lost his home when wildfires tore through the area in January 2025. The reality star blamed Mayor Karen Bass for the situation, claiming she didn’t do enough to prevent the devastation. However, instead of complaining about it, The Hills villain took action. He declared in January 2026 that he was entering the mayor’s race against Karen Bass. Los Angeles requires candidates to take part in a runoff election in November. But only two names can be on the ballot.
While initial polls showed Spencer Pratt in the lead, he ultimately lost to Nithya Raman, who will face off with Karen Bass in November. Claims of election fraud have already circulated online, bolstered by President Trump.
Jimmy Kimmel Offers To Help Him Relocate
Spencer Pratt was convinced he would unseat Karen Bass and be the next mayor of Los Angeles. He told comedian Adam Corolla in May that he would leave the city if he lost the election. “If Karen Bass gets reelected or Nithya [Raman] gets elected, I will be done with trying to live in LA,” he said at the time.

Spencer Pratt’s mayoral bid divided celebrities. Jimmy Kimmel was staunchly against electing another reality TV star into public office. TMZ published several hit pieces against Spencer Pratt, exposing that he doesn’t actually live in an RV with his wife, Heidi Montag, and their two children.
On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the talk-show host trolled Spencer Pratt by hiring a U-Haul to help him keep his promise to leave L.A.
“Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go. We’re going to miss the h*ll out of you. You’re a man of your word, and you gotta go,” Jimmy Kimmel said to The Hills star.

“I hope that you and Heidi are happy wherever it is you go — maybe you could be mayor there! Or maybe just run for mayor and finish in third place there, it could be fun for your new reality show. Either way, Mazel Tov and goodbye, Spencer Pratt!” Jimmy Kimmel suggested.
