Sister Wives star Robyn Brown is despised by many, but it is now coming out that she allegedly helped Mykelti Brown Padron when she truly needed it. Robyn and Mykelti had been close for years, and then it fell apart. However, it seems Mykelti was the victim of sexual abuse, but Robyn was the one to save her. Keep reading for more details on how Kody Brown’s fourth wife helped Mykelti.
Mykelti Brown Has Spoken Up
Sister Wives fans have watched Mykelti Brown Padron grow up right before their very eyes. She was a young teenager who met and married Tony Padron. They went on to have three children and a very happy life. The one thing about her was that she remained close to her father, Kody, and his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, even when her mother, Christine Brown Woolley, left the plural family. Christine was the third wife, but the first to exit. The first and second wives soon followed, and many children became estranged, but Mykelti held on.
She did struggle with Robyn and Kody as time went by, but now she is sharing some deep details regarding her relationship with Robyn. As it turns out, Mykelti was molested when she was a little girl by a neighbor. She spilled the tea on the podcast Cults to Consciousness and detailed how it “traumatized” her. However, what made matters worse was when she shared what happened with her parents, she got in trouble. The Browns had a very strict “no tattle-telling” policy that was enforced, even in situations such as this:
“Tattle-telling, that was one of the biggest traumatizing things. I know it sounds weird but that was one of the biggest things I remember growing up is we were not allowed to tattle-tell– anything.”
The Sister Wives star noted that it was also a policy if one of her siblings was in a “in a life and death situation.” As fans know, her brother, Garrison Brown, took his own life in March 2024. Because of what happened to Mykelti wth the neighbor and how she was punished, there is a lot of hurt and strain in her parental relationships:
“…I stopped telling my mom things, to such a degree that I could have been saved a lot of hurt, a lot of emotional damage and pain, if I had that trust with my mom, with my dad, with my other moms.”
Robyn Saved The Day
All of the mothers and Kody may have been on board with this rule, but Robyn Brown was not. Mykelti Brown Padron shared that it was Robyn who allowed her to be vulnerable and speak up about what had happened to her. She no longer had to hide what she went through, plus she no longer felt shame. Finally, Robyn went to Kody and made it clear that Mykelti needed real help:
“She went to my dad and she was like, ‘This is not OK. You guys handled this wrong. She needs help. She needs to be saved and rescued!’”
It seems that, despite what Sister Wives fans may think of Robyn Brown, she did something incredible and noteworthy.
