Nangeyalia Kharoti attempted to defend from the crease but was completely squared up by the movement. The batter played down the wrong line as the ball sneaked past the outside edge, brushed the back leg and crashed into the stumps. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan power India to series-clinching win

India’s victory was built on a sensational batting effort led by Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan. Gill and Rohit Sharma steadied the innings before Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan removed Rohit just short of a half-century. That wicket brought Kishan to the crease, and what followed was complete domination. Gill and Kishan stitched together a breathtaking 224-run partnership for the third wicket, dismantling the Afghan bowling attack with a combination of elegant strokeplay and aggressive intent.

Gill continued his remarkable form with a magnificent 154, while Kishan smashed a blistering 125 to propel India beyond the 400-run mark.
