It’s no secret that Savannah Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were incarcerated for tax fraud in 2023. Despite their short time actually serving, someone had to hold down the fort while they were gone. Both parents are praising Savannah for taking on that role and doing it all with her own money. Keep reading to learn more about just how much Savannah did for her family in her parents’ absence.
Savannah Chrisley Takes Over For Her Parents
In 2023, Todd and Julie Chrisley were sent to prison because of tax fraud. Todd was set to serve 12 years behind bars while his wife was sentenced to seven. However, they were eventually pardoned by President Trump after Savannah fought hard for her parents’ freedom. Apparently, that’s not all she was doing, though. After going on the Hang Out with Sean Hannity podcast, her parents revealed that she took on everything for them in their absence, even the financials.
“She’s a rock star,” Julie said about her daughter.
Apparently, the now 29-year-old made sure her siblings were very well taken care of. From vacations to therapy, she made sure they did it all.
“She didn’t have their mom and dad there every day, but they continued in their school,” Julie says of her daughter. “They continued in their sports, in their therapy. She took them on vacation for them cause the community was good.”
Despite being allowed to use her parents’ money for her siblings as a power of attorney, Savannah ended up paying all of their costs herself, People reports.
“She never used one dollar of our money to take care of her siblings,” Todd remarks. “We didn’t realize that until it was all turned back over to us that she had never done anything like that. She had taken care of it herself.”
It’s clear just how much love and admiration Todd has for his daughter as he goes on to call her the “kindest, most decent, honorable human being in the world.”
“When people comment about her beauty, I laugh because they don’t even know because she’s far prettier on the inside than she is on the outside,” he continues.
What’s She Up To Now?
Now that her parents are back in her life after being pardoned, Savannah can get back to normal. Currently, she’s all about her new boyfriend. Despite a large age gap between the two, Savannah presents herself as happier than ever with her new man, saying that they’ve been together for about a year now.
Perhaps, despite the age gap, she found the one this time.
