Kevin Hart made it official this week: golf has him completely hooked. The comedian and actor posted on Instagram with no filter – “Golf is life and life is golf!!!!! I got the bug bad and I fucking love it!!!!!”

    That’s not a casual mention. That’s a declaration.

The post hit on June 22, loaded with golf flag and flexed-arm emojis backing every word up. Hart didn’t frame it around a charity event or a brand deal. He put the world on notice that golf has his full attention right now, and that was the whole point.

Hart’s career has always run on this kind of all-in energy. The Philadelphia-born comedian has toured the world on his stand-up and built a deep film resume with franchises like Ride Along and Jumanji. He also launched Hartbeat, his production company, to stay active as both creator and performer. The company has expanded into streaming content and branded projects. Commitment isn’t something Hart preaches. It’s how he moves.

He’s also been open about fitness as a genuine lifestyle for years. Hart has talked publicly about running and training as a real discipline. Golf might look low-key from the outside, but the sport demands patience and consistent practice to get right. The mental side of the game tends to swallow people whole. That’s probably exactly what Hart means by “the bug bad.”

Golf bug culture is real. A player starts chasing their handicap and drilling their short game – and suddenly the sport stops being a hobby and starts being something closer to a full-time obsession. The driving range starts feeling like a second office. Hart sounds like he’s squarely in that zone right now.

His 2026 schedule has stayed packed. Production work through Hartbeat is active, and his stand-up presence hasn’t slowed down. The golf course sounds like a permanent fixture in his rotation, with Hart bringing his usual intensity to every round.

Golf has also had a real cultural moment in recent years. The sport moved far from its old stuffy image. Younger audiences and entertainers embraced it hard. Celebrity pro-am events started drawing real crowds and serious attention. Black athletes and creatives played a major role in reshaping the sport from the inside out. Hart going this loud about golf in 2026 is a timely move.

Hart has never done anything halfway. He says golf is life and the bug hit hard – bet he’s out on the course before sunrise and rewatching his swing footage at midnight. He’s going to be loud about this for a long time.

    The fairways better be ready.
