Apple raised prices for several of its products, including iPads, MacBooks, and more, in Canada and other regions.

Below is a list of Apple products that have seen price increases in Canada so far. Notably, the company hasn’t increased the cost of iPhone models yet, though the company is widely expected to charge more for the upcoming iPhone 18 line.

    • HomePod mini: $179, up from $129
    • iPad Air: $999, up from $799
    • iPad Pro M5: $1,699, up from $1,399
    • MacBook Neo: $949, up from $799
    • MacBook Air: $1,799, up from $1,499
    • MacBook Pro: $2,799 up from $2,399
    • iMac: $2,099, up from $1,699
    • Mac Studio (M4 Max): $2,699, up from $2,699
    • Vision Pro: $5,299 up from $4,999

These devices have increased in price, and in some cases, it’s pretty significant. We were able to figure out the pricing of these devices by comparing the new prices on Apple’s website to our previous articles, indicating the starting price of each device in Canada.

The move comes after outgoing Apple CEO Tim Cook said in an interview earlier this week that price hikes were “unavoidable” and that the component shortage “situation has become unsustainable.”

There are several factors behind the current component shortage, but the core issue is that demand for various components like RAM, storage, chips, and more has far outstripped the supply of those products, leading to massive price spikes. Much of the demand comes from AI companies rushing to build more data centres — these companies have shifted much of their production capacity to making the more profitable high-bandwidth memory used for AI. Elsewhere, we’ve seen things like U.S. President Donald Trump’s conflict with Iran disrupting the circuit board supply chain, putting further pressure on costs.

And it’s not just Apple — the shortages have had impacts across the tech industry. Valve’s just-launched Steam Machine is much more expensive than anticipated thanks to shortages. Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox have all raised prices. PC makers like HP are charging more.

While devices are getting better and better, the cost of these products is going to get far more expensive; it might definitely be worth holding onto your device a little longer. And Apple seems to be helping with that, as even the iPhone 11 will get the latest iOS 27 update, keeping that phone in service for even longer.
