On Today, Jenna Bush Hager has sat alongside and entertained all sorts of special guests during the show’s fourth hour. Recently, she received a visit from someone very close to her. It was her daughter, Poppy, during a rare visit to the show.
Jenna Bush Hager Could Be Seen With Her Daughter, Poppy, While Honoring Today Co-Worker
Jenna officially joined Today in 2009 as a correspondent. She later transitioned into being a co-host on the show’s fourth hour in 2019. Currently, she works alongside Shenielle Jones on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.
In her personal life, Jenna and her husband, Henry Hager, share three children: Mila, Poppy, and Hal. Recently, Jenna got a small family visit during her show.
The moment was a quick one. While bidding farewell to fans on the recent June 25 episode, Poppy could be seen standing alongside her mother. Sheinelle shared, “Well, look who we have here visiting!”
Hugging her daughter, Jenna shared, “Yeah! Poppy Louise Hager stopped in. The queen just did an impersonation.”
Poppy Previously Made An Appearance On Today During A Concert At The Show’s Plaza
Poppy waved at the camera as she stood by her mother’s side. Jenna and Sheinelle went on to celebrate one of the show’s staffers. As Jones shared, “We have to say thank you to one of our rockstars, beloved producer, Kerri Fraser.” Jenna added, “22 years at NBC. Do you know that Kerri and I went to Haiti together after the earthquake?”
While off-camera, Poppy appeared to have slipped away as the show moved forward. However, Jenna could be heard saying, “Bye, Pops.”
As noted by TV Insider, Jenna’s child has made a handful of appearances on the morning show over the years. However, fans are still familiar with them, as Jenna often talks about her family on the show.
Back in May, a number of the children of the Today show hosts could be seen at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. When a clip aired, Jenna mused, “That’s my daughter Poppy in the background, wishing Sheinelle was her mom. If we could zoom in close to Poppy’s face, Poppy’s like, ‘If only Sheinelle was my mother.’” This was in reference to Sheinelle joining Zara Larsson on stage for a concert on the show.
Feeling that kids were upset that she wasn’t dancing, Jenna joked, “They all were like, ‘Why couldn’t you be there, Mom? Why couldn’t you dance with Zara Larsson?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, you’ll have to ask your grandparents who gave me this DNA. You’ll have to ask God.’”
