Derek Hough is ready to talk Dancing with the Stars casting! While fans anxiously await more names to be announced, Derek is talking about just how great this new cast will be. Keep reading to find out what we know so far.
DWTS Fans Are Already Guessing
Season 35 of DWTS is set to air this fall, so naturally, fans are itching to know who is going to be cast this season. While four members of the cast have already been announced, fans simply can’t wait to find out who else will be competing to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. One name that has been brought up is Reese Weaver, a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and cast member of America’s Sweethearts. Of course, she recently retired from NFL cheerleading after only three years. Fans suspect that her short tenure could have something to do with a DWTS appearance.
Another guess is Baylen Dupree, star of Baylen Out Loud. Not only did Baylen meet Derek and post about it, but DWTS pro, Sasha Farber, liked one of her posts on social media. Fans immediately started speculating about Baylen’s appearance on the show.

However, fans aren’t the only ones getting excited about the new season.

Derek Is Getting In On The Fun
Now, even Derek Hough is getting in on the fun. Apparently, it’s going to be a ‘really good’ cast, Daily Express US says.
“We have a really good cast,” he reveals. “There are some people that I know are waiting in the wings. I’ve been told some of the people that are going to be on the next season. It’s going to be a great one.”
The show has had a great past two seasons, so they are taking advantage of the momentum and ramping up the cast even more.
“We’re having this momentum from the past two seasons. The celebrities are so excited to be on the show, to dance, to compete, to really get the full experience, and that dynamic of a celebrity who is wanting [to win] and really embracing it, that’s what creates great seasons,” he says.
Some Members Are Already Confirmed
Of course, four members of the show have already been confirmed:
- Maura Higgins (Love Island UK, The Traitors US)
- Ciara Miller (The Traitors US, Summer House)
- Jackson Olson (Savannah Bananas)
- Guillermo Rodriguez (Jimmy Kimmel Live!)
With so many great names already announced, it’s hard to imagine who else could be coming to the show to make the cast even more exciting. Only time will tell who will be competing this season!
