Jessica Tarlov & Scott Galloway Weighed In On President Donald Trump’s Efforts During An Episode Of Raging Moderates
Tarlov, a political strategist for the Democratic Party, is known for her appearances on The Five for Fox News. She has also appeared on other shows for the network, including Outnumbered, Fox & Friends, Hannity, and Your World with Neil Cavuto.
In addition, Tarlov is also part of the Raging Moderates podcast. She co-hosts the show alongside Scott Galloway.
During a recent episode, the co-hosts touched on President Donald Trump’s efforts concerning birthright citizenship, as well as a recent Supreme Court ruling. Things took a turn when the Supreme Court struck down an executive order that would have denied automatic citizenship to those born in the United States. Reportedly, the justices agreed that the order cannot be enforced as it went against the 14th Amendment.
Following the ruling, Galloway shared sympathy for those who risked a lot to come to the United States. As he shared, “I think someone who takes a risk and comes over here and drops a baby. I think that’s probably the kind of DNA we want in America.” However, he opened up a discussion, sharing, I would just like to see an argument on why this is worth going back on.”

Tarlov offered a blunt response to this, sharing, “Well, because they don’t like people from other places. I think that’s why.”
However, Tarlov then went into more detail on the efforts in favor of the order, noting, “This thesis that the right is putting out there that there are tons of people streaming across the border, they’re only here for half an hour, they drop a baby here and suddenly voila you have an American citizen and by extension an American family.”
Tarlov acknowledged this issue, but ultimately disagreed. As she explained, “It is a draw I’m sure for some, but it doesn’t change the Constitution. Or the fact, more importantly, that immigrants are such an incredible boon to the country economically and culturally in a lot of ways.”
For his part, Galloway also noted that a quarter of one million babies a year would have lost their citizenship if the order went through. He ultimately shared, “Consistent laws are really valuable for America and that is for 250 years we’ve generally made citizenship a legal question not a political one. Once citizenship becomes something that politicians can selectively redefine, you’re introducing uncertainty into the most valuable, a key asset of America. That is an American passport.”
