America’s Got Talent is done for the year. The reality competition returns in 2027 for Season 22. But Terry Crews isn’t taking a vacation. He has several other hosting gigs this summer. The former NFL player took to the kitchen to host a new show on the Food Network.
100 Cooks features 100 home cooks vying for the grand prize of up to $250,000. It premiered in June with new episodes airing on Sundays. Terry Crews also has big plans for July 4th.
He’s hosting Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Special. The explosive event starts on Saturday, July 4, at 8 PM Eastern on NBC. The fireworks are supposed to start around 9:45. Viewers can expect performances from Post Malone, Noah Kahan, Blake Shelton, and Salt-N-Pepa.
He Shares Update On Wife’s Heartbreaking Parkinson’s Battle
Michael J. Fox broke the barrier preventing celebrities from speaking out about their health issues. He revealed in 1998 that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease seven years earlier. He’s become an outspoken advocate for research to find a cure.
Terry Crews’ wife of 37 years was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2015 but kept it a secret for over a decade. With her husband by her side, Rebecca King-Crews revealed the diagnosis on the Today Show in April. At the time, she revealed that she underwent an FDA-approved procedure to help manage her symptoms.
Terry Crews returned to the Today Show earlier this week to share an update. He said that his wife was afraid to reveal the diagnosis, not wanting to look like a victim. But she got an unexpected reaction. “In fact, she got nothing but support and love,” he told Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones.
But even with the public rooting for her, Terry Crews admitted that her health struggles haven’t been easy. “This health thing is no joke. It gets you down to your core. I have to be strong for her,” he said.
The former NFL star said that his wife inspires him. “She has taught me to never accept defeat. All I can imagine is I can’t live without her. And she’s like ‘No, don’t you even think like that. Let’s go.”
