Love After Lockup stars Kayleigh Hunter and Micheal Regno have officially ended their marriage while the current season is airing. They have been struggling a lot, both on and off camera, so this should come as no surprise. So, when did this go down? Keep reading for more details on what transpired.
Micheal & Kayleigh Are Done
When Micheal Regno got out of prison, he did something amazing. The Love After Lockup star bought himself a BMW, which, after six years behind bars, is a huge accomplishment. Then, when he was in a halfway house, his wife, Kayleigh, sold it out from under him. Now, she claimed that he had wanted it gone, but he has disputed this. Furthermore, he stated that they were paid $10K for doing the show, yet she only gave him $1K of the payout. They have had a lot of hard times, as viewers have seen, but it finally hit a breaking point for Micheal.
Per @kikiandkibbitz, Micheal officially filed for divorce in November of 2025. As of March 2026, the marriage ended, but the couple did not have to go to trial. Rather, they mutually agreed that it was over, which will likely be a part of their update in the season finale. As viewers saw on Love After Lockup, they had been high school sweethearts and hoped that things would be the same later in life. Unfortunately, that dream was not a reality, and it was actually quite messy. She had four children and spent $9K on a mommy makeover to prepare for Micheal to return home.
Many people are on Micheal’s side regarding how Kayleigh abused his money. However, others wonder how he expected his fines to be paid. It is believed that he just expected Kayleigh to pay up for him, but it got twisted when she ended up using his cards and selling his stuff. Now there are questions as to who was in the wrong. Ultimately, no one is surprised that the marriage ended:
