Kelly Ripa may be in one of the longest-running marriages in television history with Mark Consuelos, but that doesn’t mean divorce is never on the table. Kelly Ripa’s Long-Standing Relationship
Kelly met her husband, Mark Consuelos, all the way back in 1995 when they played an onscreen couple in All My Children. The pair ended up officially tying the knot just one year later in 1996. Since their Vegas wedding, the couple has been a part of several projects together, including becoming co-hosts on Live with Kelly and Mark.
Despite the longevity of their relationship, fans still speculate year after year that the couple will end up calling things off.
There have been several instances of this, including criticism of their tendencies to overshare or their body language with each other, Yahoo! reports. At one point, Kelly got a tattoo for their relationship, which outsiders saw as a sure sign the couple was going to call it quits. Another time, Kelly made the mistake of saying she wanted a ‘gray divorce,’ aka a divorce over the age of 50.
However, despite fans seeing all signs pointing towards divorce, the big announcement still hasn’t come. In fact, the couple just recently celebrated their 30th anniversary, sharing about it on social media.
“360 months. 1,565 weeks. 10,957 days. 15,778,080 minutes and I’ll be loving you always. Cheers to 30 years! ❤️,” Kelly writes in the caption.
The Couple’s Real Thoughts On Their Marriage
While the world waits for them to divorce, Kelly and Mark seem to be happier than ever. However, they’ve had bumps in the road. They recently shared their one wedding regret. Apparently, they didn’t get flowers for their wedding and Kelly wishes they did.
“I’m still sorry we didn’t spring for flowers, because I always think my hands look awkward,” Kelly reveals. Apparently, at the time, Mark didn’t want to pay for them. “Flowers are extra. And, you know… somebody didn’t want to spring for flowers,” she continues.
Now, she thinks their photos look odd because she has nothing to do with her hands.
“The one photo that I never show is the [one] where I’m awkwardly posing with my hands because I don’t have flowers. It’s a very awkward photo,” she concludes.
So, it seems that other than a slight disagreement over some florals 30 years ago, the couple won’t be divorcing anytime soon.
