One of my biggest beauty guilty pleasures is makeup wipes.
I know, I know.
As a beauty lover, I’ve heard every argument against them. Double cleansing, cleansing balms, micellar water… I’ve tried them all. But there is just something so satisfying about coming home after a long day, grabbing a makeup wipe, and watching every last speck of makeup come off my face.
There’s no mess, no fuss, and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly the kind of skincare routine I need.
The only downside? SOME makeup wipes aren’t kind to the environment.
Because of that, I’ve always tried to save them for the days when I really need them, like after an event, a full face of makeup, or when I’m just too exhausted to go through a skincare routine.
So when Natracare reached out and asked if I’d like to try their Makeup Removal Wipes, I don’t think I’ve ever replied “yes” so quickly.
What immediately caught my attention was that these aren’t your typical makeup wipes.
Natracare is a woman-founded and led company that has built its reputation around creating products that are better for both people and the planet. Their Makeup Removal Wipes are biodegradable, compostable, and made with either 100% organic cotton cloth or 100% chlorine-free paper.
As someone who has always felt a little guilty every time I reached for a makeup wipe, knowing there’s now a more environmentally conscious option honestly makes a huge difference.
Another thing I appreciate is how gentle they are.
If you have sensitive skin, you know how difficult it can be to find products that remove makeup without leaving your skin feeling irritated or dry.
These wipes use a gentle plant-based formula enriched with organic essential oils and are free from parabens, and other preservatives that many people prefer to avoid. Especially since they can’t pronounce them haha.
I also love seeing brands respond to what consumers are asking for. In fact, studies show that over 70% of Canadian beauty shoppers are willing to pay more for products that align with those values.
Do I think I’ll stop using makeup wipes? …Absolutely not.
But I do feel a whole lot better knowing there’s now an option thats better for the environment. If this post speaks to you… Natracare’s Makeup Removal Wipes are definitely worth checking out.
You can find them online at Well.ca, as well as at major retailers across Canada, including Loblaws and Walmart.
