Reason She Left Food Network
Rachael Ray was one of Food Network’s most popular chefs. She hosted several shows on the cable network. Her 30 Minute Meals helped stay-at-home moms and busy professionals feed their families on a budget. The self-taught chef was already famous from her Food Network gigs. However, her regular appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show helped make her a household name.
Oprah Winfrey believed so deeply in Rachael Ray that she helped launch the chef’s daytime talk show. The Rachael Ray Show was a daytime staple for 17 seasons. It ended in 2023. Rachael Ray left the Food Network that same year.
She moved away from traditional television and launched her Free Food Studios production company. Rachael Ray now stars in two shows, Meals in Minutes and Rachael Ray in Tuscany. Both shows air on the FYI network and are available to stream on YouTube.

Rachael Ray still loves to cook. She often posts short recipe videos on social media. Her most recent post educated on the importance of seasoning. However, she advised not to overthink measuring and just use a little pinch. Her advice was spot-on, but her followers were distracted by her unrecognizable appearance. The former Food Network star seemed a little heavier than she had a few months ago, and her followers let her know it in the comments.

She’s also still dealing with the grief of losing her mother in 2025. A fire in 2020 destroyed her home in Lake Luzerne, New York, followed by her New York City apartment flooding in 2021.
