Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday in Paris this week with an intimate dinner party, three couture gowns, and her family by her side.
Lopez posted on Instagram describing the night as “the most beautiful birthday dinner party in Paris,” organized by two friends named Anastasia and Claudia. She thanked them both and wrote that she loves them “forever.”
The fashion was hard to miss. A white dress by Stephane Rolland opened the evening, paired with Chopard accessories. Lopez then switched into a black look from Tamara Ralph, again accented with Chopard jewelry. A third gown, this one from Zuhair Murad, closed out the night with more Chopard pieces. Her glam team included hair stylist Justine Marjan and stylist Rob Zangardi. They kept pace with every look.
But the evening carried more than couture. Lopez made a point of thanking her family, including Mariel and Benny. She also noted that the Paris trip was a long-held dream for her younger sister, Lynnie.
“Mariel, Benny, and my entire fam,” Lopez wrote, “thank you for always being by my side and for making my sister’s dream trip to Paris come true in the most beautiful way possible.”
She added a separate birthday message for Lynnie. “Happy birthday Lynnie,” she wrote. “I love you doesn’t begin to encapsulate how I feel about you baby sister!!”
The post opened with a champagne glass emoji and the words “Just this feeling… Birthday celebrations in Paris!” It was light and warm, matching the mood of everything that followed.
Lopez has a long history with Paris. She’s performed there and filmed there. The city has been a fixture of her professional life for decades. Stephane Rolland is a Paris-based couturier known for sculptural, dramatic designs. His work turns up at major international events regularly. Tamara Ralph builds gowns that appear at film festivals and awards ceremonies worldwide. Zuhair Murad is a Lebanese designer with deep roots in Paris fashion and a signature style built around intricate embellishment.
Chopard, the Swiss luxury house, provided accessories for all three looks. The brand has a longstanding presence at major entertainment events. Its work alongside the Cannes Film Festival is one of the more visible examples.
Getting three designers, a full glam team, and close family together for one dinner party takes real coordination. Lopez’s longtime stylist Rob Zangardi has been part of her world for years. Evenings like this one show that partnership clearly.
What comes through most in Lopez’s post, though, is the family piece. She used her own birthday to make Lynnie’s dream trip to Paris come true. That sits at the center of the post, not the gowns or the guest list.
For Lopez, it seems, the best way to celebrate is to share it.
